Håkan Sundin lives in Östhammar, Sweden. He studied flute and composition at the High School of Music in Malmö, and he took his exam in 1988. He studied flute with Bertil Melander and Anders Ljungar-Chapelon, and composition with Sven-Eric Johansson, Jan W Morthenson and Hans Gefors. He has worked with Andras Adorján in master classes for the flute, the English ensemble London Baroque and the composer Brian Ferneyough, among others. After his exam he continued his composition studies for three years with composers Per Nørgård and Karl Åge Rasmussen in Denmark. He has also in periodically studied with the flutist Manuela Wiesler. Håkan works as a freelance musician, composer and church musician. He works in cooperation with the organist Ligita Sneibe in the duo called ”DuoNu”. They have performed in Sweden and abroad, and composers from Latvia and Poland have written music directly for this duo. Håkan´s music have been performed in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Latvia and Poland.
